The first detailed map of ice flow across the entire continent of Antarctica has been developed, showing "amazing flows" from the continent's center that have never before been seen. The temperature record from Byrd Station, a scientific outpost in the center of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS), demonstrates a marked increase of degrees Fahrenheit ( degrees Celsius.
